Drivemotion Animator FAQ
-
Animator Software can be downloaded
here
-
Product and software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8. (All versions, all service packs).
-
When using the product, it is not advised to repeatedly press the remote control in quick succession.
Wait at least 2 seconds between pressing remote control buttons.
-
When connecting your Animator to computer, depending on your computers age, it may affect whether Animator will
respond to remote control messages or not. Older computers may not be 100% compatible in power. Simply disconnect
from USB (re-connect batteries) to test your messages. If your computer or laptop provides safe USB power to Animator,
it will respond normally to remote control signals connected via USB (however a message should finish, before you can active another message).
-
XP Windows operating systems will not allow Animator to respond to remote control signals when connected to USB.
Simply disconnect from USB and re-connect battery power to test your Animator messages. Connection issues can be
resolved by re-starting your computer, upgrading your windows XP system and/or changing to Windows 7 or 8.
-
If you are connecting your Animator by USB to computer via USB hub, USB extension or any other USB adapter
(or USB wire not supplied with your Animator), you must ensure it is of good quality to avoid any connection issues.
-
When disconnecting Animator from your computer, always disconnect battery power (if batteries remained inside during USB connection),
then reconnect (removing and re-inserting 1 battery will do this fine. If you do not, Animator will still think it is in USB mode and
not active power saving or other functions. This is a standard USB protocol.
